Comprehensive Community Development

We at IMIFAP feel that development results from addressing a wide range of issues. Comprehensive Community Development is designed to do exactly that, and for this reason is our keystone program. Each project is unique, bringing together many aspects of IMIFAP’s work and combining them in an ideal configuration to fit the economic, social, and demographic needs of each community, whether rural, urban, or indigenous. The Comprehensive Community Development program brings together different themes—for example, violence, substance abuse, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention—into a cohesive whole. This method is a more effective means to address a community’s challenges than treating each issue as separate and unrelated.
